We see these herbs and spices every day in our kitchens and in our gardens, but do you know what we can use them for other than as an ingredient in our cooking?
Let's just look at Thyme for now:
Did you know that Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) is a powerful medicinal herb packed with compounds like thymol and carvacrol, offering antibacterial, antifungal, and antispasmodic properties. It is widely used to treat respiratory issues (coughs, bronchitis), reduce inflammation, improve digestion, treat skin infections (acne), and boost immunity!
And that's just the tip of Thyme 'iceberg'!
In my work as an Aromatherapist, I make Thyme tea, Thyme Salve, Thyme Infusions with other like-minded herbs and spices, and all kinds of skin products and inhalers. It is one of the most powerful little plants, and all you have to do is grow a little pot on our kitchen windowsill, and take a few leaves each day and crush them in your hands and cup them under your nose and breath in a few times to feel the difference it make to your breathing.
