What can we do to help prevent nasty insects and creepy crawlies from invading our living space?
There are literally millions of products on the market that adequately do the job, but more often than not these products contain ingredients that are harmful for you and your pets,
So, if you want to use a safer product go and get yourself a bottle of Peppermint essential oil!
To use it, fill a spray bottle with tap water, add 2 drops of peppermint oil for every 100 mls of water. Replace the sprayer and shake vigorously, and spray liberally around doors and windows, and anywhere those creatures might possibly sneak inside. I take a couple of cotton balls and douse them in the solution and throw them into the back of the pantry and in the linen cupboard.
Generally repeating this every week or so will keep them at bay.
